Helping authentic stories come to life!
I'm Susi, an editor, writer, and marketing specialist with a bit of a coffee addiction! After nearly twenty years in marketing, I gravitated toward assignments that primarily involved writing and editing website and email content. I also wrote a few novels, joined several writing and critique groups, and was always the first to volunteer to beta-read other people's stories. I also earned a copyediting certification and took several developmental editing courses, solidifying my expertise in the field.
As a neurodivergent woman with chronic illnesses, I am not just an editor but someone who deeply understands and empathizes with the challenges disabled characters face. I am passionate about authentic storytelling and get frustrated when stories lean on stereotypes rather than lived experiences. Diverse stories are essential; I love seeing all characters live fulfilling lives. One of my favorite things is editing stories to make them feel more authentic.
I offer developmental editing and sensitivity/accuracy reading, focusing on romance, mystery, and women's fiction genres. These genres are not just professional interests for me but also personal passions. I am available to read for autoimmune arthritis (such as Psoriatic Arthritis), Sjögren's Syndrome, PCOS, Autism, ADHD, chronic migraines, and infertility. I have an autistic son and can read any story for the experience of raising a neurodivergent child as well.
My commitment extends beyond editing fiction. I am dedicated to helping authors and businesses succeed by offering comprehensive marketing services. This includes writing and editing for marketing and website copy, graphic design, branding, and social media strategy. I am here to support your journey as an author or small business owner.
Please explore my services and consider scheduling a consultation. I am excited about the possibility of working with you and helping you bring out the best in your stories.
